I bought this book at Goodwill in San Francisco. It was a marvelous experience to finish this book as I explored the redwoods of California. I was blessed to visit the Big Basin Redwoods State Park in its burned state. As my brother drove his Tesla through the closed park, I reflect upon this book. This book is not only about leading a group but leading yourself to become a wise leader. A wise leader is someone who doesn't halt a group to explore the things that they can be to themselves. Instead, a leader should possess wisdom that helps their group to be the best person that they can be. Like the burnt redwoods, the leader helps the members to feel fine even during uncertainty. The leader is patient to build and trusts the process of change and outcome after a downturn. A leader knows that everything will be in order if you take the time to build your strength. A leader is willing to help to be with you in the middle of chaos and help you lead the way to navigate a tragic event in your life.
